We Are Dirt and Divine Breath
Moses has this strange experience on Mount Sinai of seeing God's back, his back. This is a way of describing language in the Bible that describes God in the shape of human features. So Ezekiel sees the divine glory and what does he see? Not a face or a back. He easily is like a lion and an ox and a human and a wheel full of eyes and wings with a chariot and a throne. And so we're at the limits of language. We are dirt and divine breath. That's the idea.
