Shooting in Raw and JPEG Mode
When you shoot in raw the camera does nothing to it it just records the image and then you can take that raw file. You've got more latitude to adjust the color settings you get a much much greater tonal range to work in when you shoot in jpeg the camera takes the information from the raw file and it processes it It sharpens it, adjusts the color and it adjusts the contrast of that image which spits out afile a hardboiled egg out the other end.
