Is There a Pivot to High Inflation?

Jay Powell has tried to be so hawkish saying that he wants to get the target rate above core inflation which is now only going up. As the economy collapses as unemployment moves up, what do those people do that don't have jobs? They lean on the state. But there's no way to pay those people more money. The question is when do they pivot from their inflation fighting, even targeting inflation of 2%. It's only at 3.25% and everything is breaking already. That is the grade 11 math. I'm afraid you guys painted yourself into this corner.
