The joy the virtue of religious orthodoxy is you make one decision to follow that path, and then all the other decisions in life are largely made for you. I'm not sure it's possible to live a life without strong social rules. Rie your job is to break those social norms and live your own authentic life. So i think religion does play that kind of a role. I think social normsplay that kind of but of course, liberalism, especially in urban environments, modern liberalism, is all about chipping away a lot of those social norms.
