There are new controversies around the so called founding fathers as being races, as defenders of slavery and white supremacy. It's important to note that this sort of emotionalism, i think, is really unavoidable. And it often strikes me how weird and even perverse it is to talk about these long dead people,. most of whom we know nothing about and certainly have never met.
