The Story of a Man on a River
Scott and his team made their first successful descent of the sangpo. He was suddenly the cover boy for adventure magazines, featured on m b c. But to get support and sponsorship he needed to perform oncamerate being in these wild places. The way that i would navigate that would be to inebriate with drugs and alcohol. When you're traveling on a superdifficult river there has to be this emotional strength. You can't emotionally come unglued, because it's unsafe.
