G.K. Chesterton says that blasphemy is a function of belief, and if anybody doubts that, let him try to seriously blaspheme against Odin. And so belief is a prerequisite for blasphemy to even be possible. Joel's series that began with Curse of the Shallion has a... with a fifth god that not everybody believes in.
