The Fed's Decision to Not Hike Rates
Powell raised rates by 25 basis points because he said he was going to raise and he didn't want to not raise. Now that he's told everybody that he's not sure what he's going to do now, right? There's a lot of uncertainty. So the rate hikes are over. The only question is when is the next rate cut and how low will the Fed be able to take rates? I don't think they'll get all the way down to zero again. And so that will shorten the easing cycle.
