The Future of Smart Home Technology
matter is a new protocol that lets smart home devices talk to each other. It was originally called Project Connected Home Over IP or Choype, but it's now being called matter. Matter will be available in the next year or so from manufacturers like Apple and Google. The network layer leverages Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well as thread for power communication.
