In 2005, Michael Burry started reading a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad. He saw cash flow as separate from investing and speculating that then there's actually building streams of revenue. In 2006 he bought his first home in Lake Havasu, Arizona for 70,000 bucks. His wife was in tears the week before we were in escrow on a home because a mortgage broker said they couldn't afford it.
