Is There a Competition Between Florida and California?
I think we've seen the sort of decentralization has had certain interesting benefits in the past several years. But there is this lack of, I mean, the way that it ends up becoming this kind of competition between Florida and California where you have DeSantis and Newsom duking it out in these ads and things like that. In the long run, this doesn't necessarily benefit the country very much either. It could mean that as this housing prices example suggests Florida ends up reproducing some of those same pathologies which initially made it an attractive alternative to California. And so I think it's a very big problem for the country. ... Can today's Republican Party address the housing crisis
