Parenting - It's Not Coddling to Enter Into Someone's Shoes

The old way was, "Get over it. It's only a blue plate" Now parents are thinking through what rocks have been put into their child's back pack that haven't been dealt with yet. This is not coddling to enter into the shoes of someone who has just had a hard day at school or something like that. We can have an understanding for our child and where they're coming from so that we can respond different yes.
