Using Smaller Units in Python

Using smaller units, using winters and narrowing is a good thing. The magic numbers, always good constants are better than just numbers sitting in your file somewhere. It's avoid global scopes the third, but there's nothing really global in Python. If you've got large files, global scope can still be confusing.
