The Resurrection of Mediumship

People have been losing loved ones to death ever since the fall of man, and they've wanted to find ways to communicate with them. After biblical times, mediums continued to be found in cultures all over the world, and this included christian cultures. In the nineteenth century, after the lightenment weakened the role of the christian faith in europe, mediums came more out into the open. We'll talk about the fox sisters in a future episode, but suffice it to say that the spiritualist movement that they inspired lasted almost a century.
