Grabbing in a Racing Game, Isn't It Fun?
We had lots of conversations about cutting it, ause it's hard to do in a network. It just felt like you needed to be able to influence behaviour wifh other people. But we had no idea that people would use it out to have, like, hugging parties at the finished line for example. E thotwasu. We talked a lot in development about what we called 'chimedic depth' - things have to be funny and they have to be slightly different each time. That was kind of really the focus on getting things like grab, getting things like the dive and stuff into the game.
