There are a lot of fires currently burning in canada many are lightning cause but the majority are human caused pile burns pile burn escapes escaped campfires escaped prescribed burns and yes arson. These representatives are supporting a bill called Tim's act which provides fair pay for wildland firefighters that they've been promised for longest time uh... again decades and decades this has been a problem where your promised a quality wage that you can live on and it just keeps getting pushed back. The politicians and the media continue to use wildland firefighters for political talking points and i think it got a pretty good message out therebut folks are saying hey this is unprecedented we've never seen this before new york shut up
