Game theory comes in because, you know, you have a social interaction. When should we expect to see more covert signalling of identity rather than overt signaling? Is essentially the question. And so everyone signals, and everyone has a signalling strategy. In these models, they're either overt or covert. Overt signal says, tell us, you know,. broadcast to everyone, this is the kind of person i am. Covert signals are noisier, so fewer people get that signal ecause it's more subtle, it's encripted.
