The Sanhedrin: A Religious Council of Individuals
The Sanhedrin was a religious council of individuals that are distinguished. They were the aristocracy of Jerusalem and included the high priest who according to tradition could break ties. A unanimous verdict of guilt pronounced on the same day as the trial in their own law constituted an automatic acquittal, says Andrew Skinner. He continues: Jesus is able to have perfect empathy for all things because he experienced all things even though condemned below by evil premeditating murderers.
