What's the Right Thing for Netflix?

In a typical environment, if a developer wants to do something in production, they have to submit a change control ticket. It's not very consistent with our culture and having worked in a bunch of other organizations that do that,. So we don't do that. And typically, what happens is when a change ends up not having been the right thing, then the company will react by saying, well, now you need a director to approve this kind of change.
