The Carthaginians and the Persians

The Carthaginians were spared from further Persian incursions westward, because the Phoenicians refused to lend ships to Cambyses in 525 BC for an African expedition against their kinfolk. If the Persians had pressed westward, who knows what may have happened? Could the Carthaginian army have kept the Persians at bay while simultaneously fighting the Greeks? It's a big what if in history. Anyways, we will talk about the Persians in much more detail in a future episode.
