The Rise and Fall of Marx and Engels
In 1842, they bump into each other effectively while Engels is on his way to England. And so when he's in England, that's when he writes at what eventually becomes the conditions of the working class in England. independently of Marx, he comes to the conclusion that it is the working class and the working class movement that is the vehicle for the realization of communism. But how do we get to this point? So they end up meeting, they meet in Cologne, but they end up- Very briefly, by the way. They begin to work very closely together.
