I'd love it in ambient music when there are little samples of people speaking. And if you've chosen it correctly, they're saying something kind of funny. So I'd like a little sample from the radio of people talking about a funny thing that almost not audible and with a lot of reverb and echo on it, please. This was the one I questioned to you whether this was finished. Does it need to be complex? Can it be very simple? Does it need anything else? For me, it what I'd like to have a couple of those slightly odd little samples. It's called 539 AM, I think. Do you know when? It's near the start.
A conversation with my brother about a specific musical genre, "ambient". We discuss Brian Eno's inspiration and approach to his first ambient albums, talk about the genre's origins in French 19th century classical music, jazz and the avant-garde and describe ambient trance music from the 80s and 90s including artists like Aphex Twin, The KLF, The Orb and The Irresistible Force.
