The U.S. was one of the last countries to repeal its prohibitions on alcohol. The Austro-Hungarian Empire and Finland were among those that kept it in place until 1930s. "It kind of fails in all these different countries for the exact same reasons, right? You get the disrespect for law and order," he says.
