Bitcoin Core's Distributor, Is That Relevant?

Bitcoin is still nascent, right? and if you don't have users, you don’t have more economic capacity coming in for both miners and devs to profit from the system too. Everybody is an economic actor in Bitcoin. If I can always roll back to a previous version, well, you can also just not upgrade the software. And who's going to maintain the software after that? Well, that's the question, right? For example, we still have the Unix date problem to fix. That's a mandatory fix that needs to come, right? Aside from that one, I don't know any other that's actually mandatory anymore.
