The Effect of the Gospel
In the gospel of Jesus Christ, God says to you and to me, I will never leave you or forsake you. You don't produce a healthy love and a healthy relationship through fear and threats. We can know that we are secure in the love of God if we've sincerely surrendered our life to Christ. That's where obedience comes from. And it all flows out of the gospel.
