Neuroprotective Therapy for Glaucoma

In the entirety of clinical practice for glaucoma currently all treatments are centered around managing intraocular pressure. I think in recent years there's been a lot of increased excitement about neuroprotective therapy. We still don't know what the optimal timing of potential neuroprotective treatments might be even and at the moment as you say the only the only proven treatment is pressure lowering which is why the discussion we're having about how we best measure pressure is important.
