The Unofficial World Cup
In 1971, a rebel England side participate in an unofficial World Cup in Mexico. Their manager is Harry Bat, who, alongside his wife, June, is manager of Chilton Valley Ladies. They have battled at every turn to make the FA recognize the potential of the women's game. Now, the young team from Milton Keynes are invited to play in South America. And when they arrive in Mexico City, under the name the British Independence, they are dazzled by their reception.
