The Social Impact of Digital Labour in the 21st Century
Technology is neither good nor bad, nor is it neutral. When we think about digital labour in all its forms, i think the picture's really different. If you're coming from western, rich country, where there is a established set of welfare norms, these systems look like they're a step backwards or they're worsening your conditions. But when you go to markets, which are incredibly informal labour markets, you know, day laborers a gig working platform that is actually quite safe can be an improvement. We need to think differently about how we construct value and how we recompense people. And this as this is something that you could change.
