Is There a Road Traffic Jam Everyday?

Sydney is a particularly dense school type area. You expect to see people on the side of the road like with cookers. People just abandon in their cars and wandering off into the woods. The first day I was in it, I thought there must be an accident or this was something wrong. There's not a lot you can do about the traffic.
