The concept of duration is included in er the notion of something catastrophic. Not all global catastrophic risks have this quality of permanence, many do,. not all of them, but it's an additional whole level to the concept to be well, excellent. In those cases, you have damage which is not only catastrophic and global, but permanent. It's going to last forever. I think that covers global catastrophic risk.
