The Importance of Doing Your Job

A hero in the New York post lexicon is just anybody who does his job. And we discovered in the pandemic what it means to be a hero priest is just to do your job. I think there's an element of it's kind of like Graham Greene's, you know, the whiskey priest and power and the glory. The element of sometimes showing up and doing your job actually is heroic in the sense that there are forces that would want you not to do that. So often obviously we have to bring prudence. There's a book over there about prudence or something about when to kind of fly in the face of political opposition and such.
