Are the States Too Polarized to Converge on a Compromise Like That?

Is there any possibility that when the dust settles, whatever that may be, the states might converge on a compromise like that? Or are politics too polarized to make anything like that possible? I'm not in terms of how promising a solution this is. It'll depend on how well people can actually craft things for people to vote on that reflect their preferences. And then i think, too, itl it depends in part on how convinced people are either that m that kinds of abortion laws we're seen passin some states actually work.
