Narcissists often show little to no anxiety unless that true self is threatened. They may flatter the therapist and make that therapist feel incredibly special so much that they start to side with the malignant narcissist. If you look at a survivor of sociopathic or narcissistic abuse who has not undergone their own treatment, you will see someone who looks very ill.
