What Is the Interregnum?

After the civil war is over, you could say there's a kind of continuing search for a new governance. And this alliance between the crown and the more the commoner elite, it only could really be rebuilt later in the eighteenth century. So ultimately, it proved impossible to find a perfect balance. But there was none the less, great uncertainty and stability, with various different parties forming and then breaking alliances.
