ML Engineers Need to Know Data Structures and Low Level Concepts

A lot of ML engineers are not going to be coding in anything below Python. So why do they need to know or be able to implement a hash map from scratch? Okay. For example, I will give you a basic example. Say you're building an API and you are receiving a list and you need to find some item over there or you need to process this list. How do you do that? Do you want to that, you know, build two for loops? The only way you're going to know when to use a for loop versus a list comprehension of Python versus set operations is by knowing which one to use at what time.
