Is It Just Our Sensitivity's Change?
I don't have strong feelings on which film will be viewed as better, you know, 50 years from now. I think that the films that don't hold up often capture something of the zeitgeist and they look very dated in a later period. The parasite was both a wonderful film artistically and also a film that could win the Oscar and be something that pretty much everybody could enjoy. burning was paradoxically a much slower burning film. And inevitably, it would have a much smaller audience, just the nature of the way it tells its story.
