Is the Sanctions Regime Backfiring?

Russia, Iran and Venezuela don't have very much in common other than the fact that they are targeted by the United States. But I think there's a way in which politically it's generated momentum right towards establishing alternative architectures of global governance. So you're seeing increasing cooperation amongst sanction states increasing discussion of trading core commodities in non-US-denominated currencies. Maybe some movement towards gold maybe some movement towards the one the you see this happening is deepening cooperation but I don't think the imperialist states have a choice because their other choice is to accept equal integration.
