Under the law in new south wales, consent can no longer be assumed. Jurors are not immune to the prevailing myths about what makes a perfect victim. The reforms will not completely overhaul the criminal justice system's response to sexual offences and they won't prevent sexual violence. Law reform finds its limits pretty quickly.
