Church is one of the few places left where our girls aren't full partners, full, enjoy full equality. Church leaders were worried that these young boys didn't have a recurring job to do each Sunday. So they said, well, being ordained a priest isn't required to pass the sacrament because the doctrine of covenants only says you have to be ordained a priest to administer it. It doesn't really matter if little boys and deacons pass it because that's not administering it. They just wanted to give them a job.
