The Marriage of Husband and Wife and Devotion
St. Francis offers advice for living the holy life in the context of marriage. St. Paul says the unbelieving husband is consecrated through his wife, he writes. He adds that without devotion a woman is very frail and subject to fall from virtue or decline in it. "Let them renew their good resolutions to sanctify it ever more through mutual love and fidelity"
