I would be absolutely staggered if Manchester City were relegated as a result of this. But I maybe think that a points deduction is possibly the most likely outcome. Ultimately, rich people choosing how to spend their money as they so wish is down to them. There is a much broader issue than financial fair play when it comes to the funding and the ownership of football clubs. The game needs protection. Has it been protected from the Premier League? I'm not so sure.
