What Is the Gold of Science?

Helmo saw science ascentral to thethe process of general enlightenment. It had technological aspects, it was part of culture and what not. The conservation of energy didn't play any role that i can see, in helmol's larger picture of what of the meaning of science for society in general. And so idid i didn't have an occasion to deal with that because i didn't think it was relevant.
