Is It Critical That Someone With Strong Machine Learning Learns Climate Change?

Iam always the proponent of team science and transdisciplinary research. I think it's so beneficial to work with domain scientists and data scientists coming together to understand these problems. We have so much data right now and just almost not enough people to really analyze it. Or climate models produce, you know, petabite after petabite of data - we just can't using particularly traditional methods on our destop computer.
