The Greek Air Force Was a Friend of the Germans.
After blowing through the ataxis line, the only thing standing in the way of the german advance was the sixth australian division and the new zealand division. At this pointr one british unite refused to allow this routine to be disrupted. A lot of soldiers had ran off into the mountains where they le joining the resistance. One artillery major decided that he was not going to go out and surrender. He ordered his unit into formation, saluted them, bid them all good bye, and then shot himself in the head.
