"I was very scared by it. I'd already made the decision, but had I been smarter, I would have talked to someone at the registrar's office first," he says. "If I take this, you know, potentially life changing set of opportunities and it works out, none of this matters... If it doesn't work out, I have to go back to college and I have to pay for it like a normal person." He adds that his parents' reaction hurt more than others because they don't get what is going on.
