The idea of you doing your own investing, this isn't new. The question really is to what degree do you want to be involved and is it a good use of your time? I'm very good in areas of finance, but I'm not good at everything. So I turn to people where I need help. And as far as paying someone a fee, I would say you probably pay your doctor or college professor if you have no jukebox.
