Phenomenology is the study of what matters, rather than matter. Modern people think of reality as objective but that isn't how we experience reality. The mesopotamians viewed the world in a very similar way. They had a they had a model and it's got to make sense - i don't want uncertainty at the bottom of this or any unnecessary leap of faithan.
