I think it's important to remember as you're alluding to this is a transition for them as well. I've run across a whole variety of different types of parents. Some are very hands off and allow their patient their child to make a lot of decisions on their own. But then others, I think have a really tough time allowing more autonomy and responsibility for their child because this is just what they've done for the last 18 years. And like I said, setting some goals and expectations for the parents sometimes can make it a little more peaceful.
