MUSIC So This Piece Is Based on the First Movements of Sinfom Yeta
This piece is based on the first movements of Sinfom Yeta, which was written by the Czech composer Leon Janicek in 1926 near the end of his life. Emerson primarily just rolling it into the instrumental breaks. Eventually he will take over more of the song, but initially he's functioning more or less as texture. The lyrics here are really dark. Patient cues for the gallows, seeing the praise of the hallow, our machines feed the furnace. If they take us they will burn us.
