The Importance of Flat Character Arcs
I think the change has to be there for us to feel that there's progress in either direction and that we haven't ended on the very same note we began at. Otherwise it feels like kind of just going in a circle. Even flat character still have that emotional journey when they're satisfying, right? Because they should still struggle. They should start an emotional journey is the arc. It doesn't have to be so external. Like they go from being this villain of a person to being the hero. Right.
